No CommentsDo you know what the real definition of insanity is? It is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Sound 
familiar? Getting up early, fighting traffic, sitting in an office all day and working hard, fighting traffic again to get home and having to do that all over again the next day for the same results…the same old paycheck! But hold on, if you’re REALLY good at what you do and work extra hard, you will be rewarded with a pay raise…maybe even 5%. Well that extra couple of dollars in the pay should help…right! I can’t even imagine going back to that style of life! Insane!
Sorry if I depressed some of you when you read this, trust me, I was there once. But I had to get out of the insane asylum if you will. So I made the change and started a home based business. Now, I work hard and make the money I want to make, not what someone thinks I should make. No traffic from the bedroom to my home office!
Now I know you’re saying that there is so many choices and it is so confusing on how to start a home based business. You are correct, there are thousands of choices. One I recommend is affiliate marketing. This is what I do. It is an online business that is easy to do and doesn’t need a lot of cash to get started. No CommentsHello to all home based business owners, I want to share with you something that will have us all very thankful for having our own home business and for those of you thinking about starting a home based business, this should definitely convince you to go for it! I was reading the want ads in the paper this morning, I like to do that just to see what is out there and what some offers are, and I saw one that read part time hours, about 35 a week, to work in a high paced environment for $8 an hour.
So basically this company wants you to work hard for them for very little money and also to make sure you work just under 40 hours so they don’t have to give you any benefits! Quick math here…8 per hour for 35 a week is only $280 before taxes. Good luck living on that! This is what it is like when you are stuck working for someone else. That right there is enough motivation to keep me working hard on my home based business! To me, it is a joke what some of these companies expect you to do and what they give you in return. The joke’s not going to be on me! 
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and be thankful for the opportunities we do have to better our lives. It is all up to you to do something about it! Don’t be someone’s puppet, start a home based business today and soon you will be able to laugh at the offers like the jokes they are, instead of being part of it!

A lot of home based business entrepreneurs do this as their only means of income, and some do it well and make a lot of money. The hard part of all this is deciding what to sell. It can be very time consuming and difficult to come up with your own product or service. This of course is the most profitable because you get to keep all the profits from the sales because the product is your own.

This option is not quite as profitable as selling your own product, however, it can still provide you with an incredible income. No CommentsWhen you sit back and look at the economy, what do you actually think! What about the future, and your retirement? For me, it used to be very scary. I didn’t like not knowing or having no control over it. So I decided to take some action and start a home based business. Of course there are lots of businesses to choose from, but I choose an online business called affiliate marketing. I choose this for a few reasons. For starters, It is kind of fun, which is very important!
With affiliate marketing, all I have to do is promote other people’s products or services. No web site, no inventory, and no customer service. All that is taken care of by the vendor who you are promoting. Now, there is work involved, there aways is! So I found this awesome ebook that pretty much gave me all the information and resources I needed to get the ball rolling. I learned where and how to advertise, what to do to get all kinds of traffic to the site I was promoting and much more. Without this, I not sure where I would be.

Imagine a life where you get to choose your line of work, the amount of income you would like to make and be able to set your own hours, take vacations or time off whenever you want without having to ask anyone for it! Is it possible? You bet it is! It is as close to hitting the lottery as you can get with the only real difference is you will have to do a little work for it. If you haven’t guessed it by now, it is having a home based business.
I worked for 20 years for a boss and watched as he dictated my life. Now I’m not saying it was horrible working conditions, it was just the fact that it didn’t matter how hard I worked or how good I was at it, it was the same old raise, same old benefits. I was only allowed a certain amount of time off, had to be at work from 8 to 5. The worst part of the past 20 years…I worked hard enough and was good enough to become a manager and then got laid off! Thank you very much! All that time and hard work and nothing to show for it.
That is when I decided it was time to do it for me! I started a home based business and I am working on it everyday and building it for my future. I choose a business that I enjoy working on and I get to work on it as much or as little as I like. I no longer have to worry about if I’m getting a raise or worse, will I still have a job! If I want more money, I just work a little harder.

No CommentsWhen you own a business you need to let people know about it and having a home based business or online business is no different. Advertising is the key to the success of your business. Now if you are a newbie to the home based business industry and your budget is low or non existent, then the way to do your advertising is through social media. It is free and powerful!
You all know the names Twitter, Facebook, Myspace etc. These are all great tools to let people know what you are doing or selling. I’ll use Twitter as an example and give you a few pointers on how to use it.
First, set up your account and profile, let everyone know what you are all about. Next, start following people with the same interests as you, majority of the time they will follow you back. You can do this by using the search bar. The more you do this, the bigger your following and the more potential customers you will have. Also you will need to tweet everyday and offer your followers something of value. But don’t promote your product with every tweet or you may be perceived as a spammer. Over time, you can build up a following of thousands of people and when you have something good to promote you could quickly and efficiently alert a lot of people of your promotion. Free advertising at its best!
Obviously you will want to do this for a few of the major social sites. It will take some time to build your base of potential customers, but once you have you can be very successful with your home based business. Just make sure you give your people something of value and contribute to other people’s posts or tweets.
